The cats at Italy’s Double Cheese Records approached me about four months ago about doing a remix album of one of my biggest records of all time, We Belong To The Night. It’s been a long time since I thought about that track, let alone heard it, so I of course said, “Sure!”
It’s out now, and as you can see here, Cee ElAssaad‘s remix is levelling the charts. The track remains to this day the only “spoken word” song I’ve ever made, and I’m glad to see the words still resonate so strongly with people…and that producers are still interested in revisiting it!

One of my favourites: we used the toughest of all synthesis methods–FM synthesis–and programmed all these sounds from scratch, and then used them to put together this remix. Nothing but FM son!
This is the 2013 remake we made for JakDat Records. Gave us a chance to clean up the recordings, lay down a new beat, re-EQ a bit, and extend it. We laid down the vocals we always wanted to do, but couldn’t sing well enough (now there’s autotune!). Plus some piano at the end, so you know that yes, the riff IS good on its own, not just a harmonic trick. Ha.
Charted three times on Traxsource, hitting the Essential Soulful Miami Edition and Weekly Hype Chart Miami Edition, you can still grab this on Traxsource and Apple Music.
One of my favourite remixes off this Soulstream release…Kojo Akusa is a beast! Available at the Suges Music Store, on Traxsource and Apple Music. I notice this joint has the “explicit” tag on iTunes and I’m not totally sure why.
Guy Robin‘s masterful remix of my song, from 2011. Still available on the Suges Music Store, Traxsource and now available on Apple Music.
Back when Martino and I were calling ourselves Emience (before we knew there were, like, 3 other Eminences) we made this song with talented Canadian vocalist Adrianna Taylor. Harley & Muscle delivered a particularly deep rendition for this EP.
Cover picture here is from the original Soulstream release. We sold it to Harley & Muscle a few months later and pulled the original.
Check it out at Traxsource, Apple Music, and I even found a YouTube video of it right here:
